Mangawhai Heads Volunteer Lifeguard Service

The Mangawhai Heads Volunteer Lifeguard Service is committed to the prevention of drowning and injury through the provision of lifeguarding and water safety.

The 2008/2009 patrolling season commenced on Labour Weekend and volunteer lifeguards will patrol Mangawhai Heads on weekends and public holidays from 11am-4pm until 13 April 2009.

During the 2007/2008 season our volunteer lifeguards spent 3396 hours patrolling Mangawhai Heads, saved 64 lives and performed 5975 preventative actions to keep the public safe.

Members of the public can report a water rescue emergency by calling 111 and asking for police.
